Who Needs Encouragement?

Why can the believer be confident?  "I will appeal to this, the years of the right hand of the Most High" (Psalm 77:10).  Our confidence is firmly rooted in the faithfulness of God.
The Psalms are crammed with people who find themselves up to their necks in trouble but who are sure that God has not forsaken them Or, if for a while he "turns his face" from them (brings or permits trouble), they're sure that things will turn out right again. So bravely they face the hardships and insist on turning to no one but the Lord, who is ever watching them and has shown his devotion to them through the years. James McGuiggan, Jesus - Hero of Thy Soul
Personal testimony is powerful encouragement.  If you need some of that today, turn to the book of Psalms (you might want to start at Psalm 77) and read about the faithful deeds of our God.
