Come And Drink

"On the last and greatest day of the Feast, Jesus stood and [cried] in a loud voice, If anyone is thirsty, let him come to me and drink." John 7:37

As one year draws to a close and new one stretches out before us, let no one hesitate to either give thanks for God's faithfulness in the past or to trust wholeheartedly in Him for the future.  Let's be sure that the great offer of free pardon and salvation in the person and work of Jesus Christ does not go unheeded in our own lives, nor in the lives of others, as far as it depends on us!  In the Scripture quoted above, we find:
Pity expressed most plainly...provision made most plenteously...proclamation given so freely...[and] personality declared most fully.  No waiting or preparation is so much as hinted at.  "If anyone is thirsty, let him come to me and drink." ~ Charles Haddon Spurgeon
