The Best Part of Christmas

With manger scenes in abundance this time of year, we must never forget that the vulnerable babe of the nativity was born to die: to sacrifice, triumph and redeem by the virtue of His own innocent blood.
The precious blood of the Lamb slain removes the guilt, and purges away the defilement of our sins of ignorance and carelessness.  This is the best ending of a Christmas - to wash anew in the purifying fountain. ~ Charles Haddon Spurgeon
