FAQs

We know that your first time at a church, any church, brings up some questions. We want you to be able to enjoy the great music, encouraging messages, friendly people, and warm atmosphere that are all part of Jefferson Assembly without distraction. So here are a few answers in advance:

What should I expect the first time I visit Jefferson Assembly? We’ll make sure the first face you see when you approach the church has a smile on it. Whether you need childcare or are looking for a place for your teens, a greeter will be nearby to help you get where you need to go. Our hospitality staff will be ready to answer any questions you might have, and help point you in the right direction for classes, services, or other needs you might have.

What are your services like? We believe that the church’s worship should be a celebration of Jesus and the life He’s given us. Because of that, our services are designed to be upbeat and encouraging. We believe you will find a comfortable welcome, enjoyable music, and practical teaching—along with some of the greatest people you’ll ever get to know.

What do I wear to church? Come as you are! The dress ranges from casual to professional. We’re more concerned with getting to know you than criticizing what you wear. So, dress comfortably and you’ll fit right in.

What does Jefferson Assembly offer for my family? Our family would love to welcome your family to church next service. We have opportunities for each member of your household to enjoy themselves as they encounter God through the Bible and other people just like you. As you look at the links and pictures on this site, we hope it helps you to get a personal and friendly first look at Jefferson Assembly, but we realize that this is just a Web site. The best way to find out all that’s here for you and your family is to visit us at our next service.

What kind of sermons does your pastor preach? Messages are never dull (well, okay—there’s a stinker in there every once in a while), making the Bible easy to understand and apply to your life. Sermons will challenge and inspire you to be all that God wants you to be and help you build a personal relationship with Jesus Christ.

What kind of people attend Jefferson Assembly? All sorts! We accept people wherever they are in life, so Jefferson Assembly is filled with a great variety of people—varied races, backgrounds, socio-economic levels—and in all sorts of places in their walk of faith.

What kind of music can I expect? Our worship team and musicians play a wide variety of contemporary praise and worship songs, as well as familiar hymns. Sundays are a time of upbeat celebration and sincere worship, so our music reflects these dynamic differences through a wide range of musical styles.
